Laura Collada

 

Laura has worked with Dumont Bergman Bider since 2001, and today she is the Managing Partner.

Laura has taught Copyright and Intellectual Property Law at various universities in Mexico City and Veracruz. She has over 25 years of experience in Intellectual Property and was Deputy Director of Unfair Competition Prevention at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI). Her practice includes the complete life cycle of Intellectual Property rights, from consultancy to application, to resolving disputes involving these rights. She is the author of numerous articles for national newspapers on issues related to Intellectual Property. Laura is a frequent speaker at international conferences on IP and related law.

EDUCATION

Laura holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law granted with distinction from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). She specialized in Intellectual Property Law as well as Corporate, Civil, Constitutional and Environmental Law (Honorable Mention) from the Universidad Panamericana and holds a diploma in Contracts from the ITAM.

ASSOCIATIONS

She is an active member of national and international professional organizations, including AMPPI (Chair of the Trademarks Committee), Barra Mexicana Colegio de Abogados, INTA, AIPPI, MARQUES, APLF, ASIPI, AIPLA and PTMG.
