Andrea joined Dumont in February 2015. She began her career in IP as a Technical Patent Analyst and now she is Team Manager in the Mechanical and Electrical Areas of the Technical Department.

Andrea has focused her professional practice on the prosecution of patent applications, industrial designs, and utility models by performing technical analysis of Official Actions issued during the substantive examination by the Mexican Patent Office (IMPI). She counsels clients on technical matters particularly in the mechanical and electrical fields and she provides validity opinions of inventions in this area. She also performs analysis of the technical aspects for the filing of industrial design applications. As a Team Manager, she is also involved in training new analysts and is responsible for managing the granting/registration and maintenance stages of patent, industrial design, and utility model rights.
